SOLID FLAT

Solid Flat is a wooden construction on which different layers of paper are pressed together, creating a membrane within the frame. Through the variety of sorts of paper and the uncontrollable material tensions that arise, the transparency and colouring of each panel is different. The pressed membrane reminds one of the surface tension of a thin soap film within a wired frame. Simultaneously, the paper membrane gives the structure its strength.
